Double-Sided Undercoat Rake for Dogs and Cats, Wide Dematting and Deshedding Comb

A grooming rake with a different job on each face, so one tool takes a coat from tangled to tidy without swapping brushes halfway through.

• The 9-tooth side is the opener. Wider spacing and fewer blades mean it can be worked into a stubborn mat and split it apart instead of dragging the whole knot against the skin.
• The 17-tooth side is the finisher. Closer spacing thins the loose undercoat and pulls out the dead hair that would otherwise end up on the sofa.

The head is extra wide, which covers more of a flank or a haunch per stroke and shortens the session for a pet that does not enjoy standing still. It suits dogs and cats alike, in a pink finish.

Work in the direction the coat grows, in short passes, and stop to free the teeth when they load up. Clear the collected hair off the blades after each grooming session so the next one starts clean.
